agree.. 90 days is too much.. esp when just dates need to be extended.. In the first place.. it should be non-expiring .. something like valid with I-485 Receipt... and then when accepting EAD employer can check the I-485 status that its still pending... and any change will send email to the employer about 485 current status...
But then my dear.. where's the money...
Guess people can't even take PUN any more... Got negative and abusive remarks for this.. atleast have guts/courtesy to leave name/handle...

Did any one heard of EB3 India 485 Approved after June 26? Looks like EB3 visa numbers for this quarter for India is exhausted! If so then who many will be available in next quarter?
When will the 40K unused EB quota of visa numbers will be available /open? In mid September? Can any of the Gurus explain this?
My friend took info-pass and he was told that the EB3 India visa numbers are over for now and his case may be approved in next quota.
Looks like the first 40K in the 485 queue whose processing is done will get there 485�s approved in late September.
For some one like me who files 485 in June chances of approval in this year is less.:confused:
I just want to set the expectations real so that we will not be subjected to perpetual checking of online LUD/Status, forums and also avoid huge disappointment.

I advise not to do like this guy is saying. My suggesstion is if it is really not possible for you to get the letter, just send last 6 months of bank statements. And let your parent tell VO that your bank gives letter in person & you live far away from that bank. Majority cases, they will not even ask for any bank letters or statements. My suggesstion is to send both Indiana bank and HSBC bank statements for last 6 months. That will be good.
I agree. 6 months bank statement along with 3 years of W2 are more than sufficient to prove your financial ablity to support your parents.

USCIS is aware of their deficiences and hence have provided a solution. For such cases as yours, you should attach a cover letter clearly stating that this case is not to be opened by the mailroom people. It should be addressed to an IO who will do what's necessary.
It appears your lawyer did not do this. So make sure he does it right this time or find a different lawyer. You can also do it yourself by learning the procedure from others who went through the same pains.

There is no difference in filing taxes when you were on OPT vs H1B (by this I mean there are no different forms).
Aren't 1040, 1040 NR, 1040NR EZ different forms?
OP has to figure out whether he/she is a resident for tax purposes or not. Looking at the 9 months NR status and 3 month H status, it appears to me that the OP has Non Resident status. How ever, IRS publication will determine that correctly.
www.nrtaxreturn.com offers tax preparation for international scholars & students. The web based interview on nrtaxreturn does the residency test as well. At least it did 3 years ago when I helped out some one. AFAIK, Turbo tax does not offer Non Resident support.
The reason why OP got two W-2's is because his employer seems to know that FICA & MQFE should not be deducted from students on F1 status, unless they have been in the country for 5+ years.

Gurus , I dont know if this question have been addressed before. I am currently on H1B and is valid still july 2009. But i dont have stamping on my passport. I am waiting for AP for my wife and myself. If we user AP to India Trip then
